Special Election for SD 7

Democratic Party qualifying for the special election in Senate District 7 has closed.
A vacancy in Senate District 7 was created when Sen. Parker Griffith resigned his position after winning election to the U.S. House of Representatives in Alabama's 5th congressional district.
Special Election Schedule:
Primary - Tuesday, March 3, 2009.
Runoff or General - Tuesday, April 21, 2009.
If Runoff occurs, General - Tuesday, June 9, 2009
